  • What do I need to obtain a library card?
To obtain a library card, please bring photo identification to the library.  If your ID does not have a Rindge address on it,  you will also need to provide proof of residence, property ownership, Rindge employment or attendance in school to verify your eligibility for a free card.  
  • Do you offer non-resident library cards? 
Non-resident cards are available for $30 per year.
  • Do you have public access computers?
We do have public access computers.  There are three on the main floor and one in the Children's Room.  There is also a laptop available for use in the library.   All computers have access to color printers.  The charge to print from a computer is $0.25 per page for black and white, and $1.00 per page for color
  • Do you have Wi-Fi?
The library offers free Wi-Fi.  It is available in the library, and from the library grounds 24/7.
  • Do you have Downloadable books?
The NH State Library offers all card holders access to a great collection of downloadable e-books and audio books.  The collection is at nh.overdrive.com.  You will need your library card number and password to access the collection.  Please call the library for your login credentials.
  • Do you have museum passes?
Our Friends group provides museum passes for free or discounted admission.  The selection varies from year to year.  We currently have passes to Tower Hill Botanic Garden in Boyalston, MA, the Adams Pool in Peterborough and the USS Constitution Museum.  Please call the library for details or to reserve a pass.
  • Where do I return my books and DVD's ? 
You may return your library materials at either service desk, or  via our book and media drops, which are available at all times.
  • Do you have a fax machine and photocopier?
The library offers both a fax machine and a photocopier.
Faxes are $2.00 for the first page and $1.00 for each additional page.  Faxes to toll-free numbers are free.
Photocopies are available for $0.10 per page.
  • Do you charge fines?
In order to ensure that all residents have access, we do not charge fines for late items.  We do charge for lost and damaged materials.  We reserve the right to limit access to our physical and electronic collection when there are overdue items on an account.
  • Does the library offer more than books and computer access?
The library offers DVDs, audiobooks, puzzles, music CDs and magazines for adults and children.
  • Do you have meeting spaces available?
The Symonds room is available for small meetings.  Please review our Meeting Room policy.
  • Do you have any book groups?
The Rindge Readers meet at the library once a month.  The group alternates between modern classics and classics.  Please see our Event Calendar for meeting dates.
  • Do you have IRS tax forms?
​The library gets a limited number of tax forms each year.  Typically, we receive 1040s, 1040As and 1040EZs and the instruction books for them.  We also have a book or reproducible forms which we are happy to copy for you.  We will also help you access additional forms from the web at www.irs.gov.
  • Can you get me books the library doesn't own?
We are happy to borrow books and other materials that we don't own through the Interlibrary Loan system.  Please speak with a librarian for help.
  • Can I renew my own books or find out which books you own on-line?
You can browse our catalog at ingalls.bywatersolutions.com.  If you log into your account, you can renew your items, place holds, suggest items you would like us to purchase, or update your contact information.
  • Does your library have a Friends of the Library Group?
Yes!  And we would love to have you join it!  Stop by the library to fill out an application.
