Trustee Meeting minutes
October 25, 2022

Alternate trustees present: Dick Isakson, Taylor Ratcliffe
1894 Committee: Judy Unger Clark
Director: Donna Straitiff
Absent: Lisa Wiley, Roberta Gordenstein

• In order to make a quorum, it was voted to make Dick and Taylor voting members for this meeting.
• Acceptance of donations: Flo motioned to accept, Taylor seconded. All approved.
• Secretary’s Report: Linda motioned to accept, Flo seconded. All approved.
• Town Bookkeeper’s Report: Dick motioned to accept, Linda seconded. All approved.
• Treasurer’s Report: Several members found the size font difficult to read. The possibility of omitting some of the year’s earlier months was proposed.
• Dick motioned to accept the report, Linda seconded. All approved.
• Director’s Report: Linda motioned to accept, Flo seconded. All approved.
• Linda addressed the Board regarding last month’s meeting with the 1894 Committee. While the Committee needed to be reminded of its original purpose, she felt it could have been accomplished in a more diplomatic manner.
• Donna reported that Mike is looking into a new security system for the town. The Board looked favorably on this possible change.
• Donna sought the Board’s approval for taking back the supervision of the Library’s custodian from the Town. Monies for this will be included in next year’s budget. A six-hour work week was proposed, to be divided over two days at a rate of $15 an hour.
• Judy Unger Clark, representing the 1894 Committee, requested that the Committee have an appearance on the Library’s website. She solicited input on wording for the Committee’s advertising.
• Dick moved that the meeting be closed at 5:30, Flo seconded the motion, all approved.
