TRUSTEE MEETING
Minutes
August 22, 2023

Karla motioned to accept Pat as a voting Trustee. Lisa seconded. All approved.
Acceptance of Donations – Linda motioned to accept the report. Flo seconded. All approved.
REPORTS:
Secretary’s Reports—Lisa Wiley – Linda motioned to accept the report. Pat seconded. All
approved.
Town Bookkeeper’s Report – Flo motioned to accept the report pending audit. Pat seconded.
All approved.
Treasurer’s Reports—Flo Marsh – Lisa motioned to accept the report pending audit. Pat
seconded. All approved.
Director’s Reports—Donna Straitiff – Lisa motioned to accept the report. Pat seconded. All
approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Policy Review Schedule: The Telescope Loan Policy was reviewed. Lisa motioned to
accept the Telescope Lending Policy as amended. Linda seconded. All approved.
2. Donations in memory of Dick: Donations are requested to be made to the library. $200
has been received to date.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Homeschool Program: The library is renewing our Homeschool Programming. The last
Friday of September the Monadnock Conservation Center will speak to the families
about wildfires. It is hoped to have monthly programming.
2. Dick Isakson: Discussion took place regarding possible uses for the donations in memory
of Dick.
3. Fall programming: Project Home is looking to use the space for English language
learners. The Big Read takes place in September.
4. Budget Planning: In September there will be a budget workshop to prepare for the Town
budget planning.
5. Other: A local library is looking for information from town libraries who might use , or
used in the past, an EIN (Employer Identification Number). Ingalls had one for a very
short time years ago and was reversed quickly as it did not align with regulations. Donna
will relay the information.
OTHER GROUP REPORTS:
1. Ingalls 1894 Association: There is now a link for the group on the town website. They are
submitting a separate application for the Hunt Grant. They are looking to start a short-
term fundraising campaign in the fall around the Giving Tuesday timeline. Roberta
Gordenstein donated photographic prints to be displayed as a fundraising opportunity.
2. Friends of the Ingalls Memorial Library- Nothing to report.
Karla motioned to enter into nonpublic session per RSA 91-a for the purpose of personnel. Lisa
seconded. All approved. Flo motioned to seal the minutes of the non public session. Linda
seconded. All approved.
Linda motioned to adjourn at 5:20pm. Flo seconded. All approved.
