Minutes 

July 26, 2022

Acceptance of Donations – Roberta motioned to accept the report. Lisa seconded. All approved.
                                  
REPORTS:
Secretary’s Reports—Lisa Wiley: Roberta motioned to accept the report. Linda seconded. All approved. 
Town Bookkeeper’s Report: Linda motioned to accept the report pending audit. Roberta seconded. All approved.
Treasurer’s Reports—Flo Marsh: Lisa motioned to accept the report pending audit. Roberta seconded. All approved.
Director’s Reports—Donna Straitiff: Linda motioned to accept the report. Roberta seconded. All approved.

OLD BUSINESS:

  1. LCHIP plaque: The plaque has been installed and publicized.
  2. Bookkeeper position: Not posted yet.
  3. #PlantWildflower Grant: The 2000 seed packets have all been distributed locally, including for programming at Mass Audubon Wildwood Camp in Rindge and the Conservation Commission.


NEW BUSINESS:
        
  1. Review of Community Survey results: There are a few dozen respondents. There were some good recommendations and very positive feedback.
  2. Possible Millipore funding: A representative from Millipore reached out to see if the library would be interested in applying for a STEM grant. Donna is pursuing this opportunity.
  3. Library of Things policy: Donna reached out to other libraries to get examples.
  4. Other: Donna is looking into acquiring a radon testing kit to circulate. Taylor recommended acquiring a record player to encourage teens to use the youth room. 

OTHER GROUP REPORTS:

  1. Ingalls 1894 Association: The group is meeting Thursday, July 28th.
  2. Friends of the Ingalls Memorial Library: The group met last week to discuss improving membership. They are planning water balloon battleship game on the common on August 23rd.
