Acceptance of Donations – Linda motioned to accept the report. Lisa seconded. All approved.
REPORTS:
Secretary’s Reports—Lisa Wiley – Linda motioned to accept the report. Roberta seconded. All
approved.
Town Bookkeeper’s Report – Lisa motioned to accept the report pending audit. Linda seconded.
All approved.
Treasurer’s Reports—Flo Marsh – Lisa motioned to accept the report pending audit. Linda
seconded. All approved.
Director’s Reports—Donna Straitiff – Lisa motioned to accept the Director’s report. Roberta
seconded. All approved.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Cleaning/Caretaker position: Jim Wiley will be starting mid June.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Policy Review Schedule: Tabled
2. Big Read – The Bear – Update: NH Humanities received the grant and we will be
pursuing programming.
3. Andrew Noon will be presenting his book, Bathsheba Spooner: A Revolutionary Murder
Conspiracy on July 21st at noon.
4. Summer Reading Update and Kickoff: Scheduled for June 17th at the Meetinghouse.
Donations are still arriving and children are signing up.
5. Other: Discussion of ideas to help encourage middle grades and youth to engage more
at the library.
OTHER GROUP REPORTS:
1. Ingalls 1894 Association: The group had their annual meeting and created a statement
of mission. They are looking to have their group included on the town website with the
Library Friends and Trustee groups.
1894 Statement:
The 1894 Association is a registered 501(c)(3) organization that provides fund
raising support for the Ingalls Memorial Library in Rindge NH. It supports the
Library’s stated mission to provide access to information to all members of the
community and improve lives intellectually, socially, culturally, and vocationally.
Your gift is essential to maintaining the Library's strength in building for the
future. Accepted by the 1894 Association May 17, 2023.
NH Gives fundraiser takes place June 6th at 5pm for 24 hours. This will be the third year the
group takes part. They will also plan to get involved with Giving Tuesday in November.
2. Friends of the Ingalls Memorial Library: the group is looking at future programming and
sponsoring a Library pass.
Next Meeting Date—June 27, 2023
