Trustee Meeting
Minutes
March 24, 2026
Present: Karla MacLeod, Flo Marsh, Lorraine Horne, Robert Terk, Susan Kochinskas, Roberta Goldenstein, Deb Whitney
Director: Donna Straitiff
Meeting opened 4:30 pm
A big welcome to our new Trustee and Alternate, Robert Terk and Deb Whitney.
Acceptance of Donations: Flo makes motion to accept donations. Lorraine seconded. All approved.
Reports:
Secretary's Reports-Flo makes a motion to accept report. Lorraine seconded. All approved.
Town Bookkeeper’s Report-Flo makes a motion to accept report. Lorraine seconded. All approved.
Treasurer's Report- Operating Budget needs to be adjusted to factor in default budget voted in March 10, 2026. Lorraine makes a motion to accept report. Robert seconded. All approved.
Director's Report-Flo makes a motion to accept report. Robert seconded. All approved.
Old Business:
1. Project Update: ADA automatic door. Donna will follow up with Mike and work on a quote before going to BOS to present acceptance of Ingalls 1894 funding.
2. Other Old Business: None at this time.
New Business:
1. Election Results: The default budget was voted in. Also, Robert Terk was elected to Ingalls Library Trustees for 3 year term.
2. Budget Update: As the default budget was voted in, the operating budget for the library needs to be adjusted. New disbursement schedule begins first of April.
3. Policy Review: A preliminary review of all document samples presented. The Board will return next meeting with clarifications and approval. These include a. Mission Statement, b. Art Display, and c. Collection Development.
4. Election of Officers: Nominated and Accepted for position of Chair is Karla MacLeod; Vice Chair is Patricia Paige; Treasurer is Flo Marsh; and Secretary is Lorraine Horne. Flo makes a motion to accept nominees and acceptance of all. Lorraine seconded. All approved.
5. Other new business: None at this time
Other Group Reports:
1. Ingalls 1894 Association: the Board will be meeting May 5, 2026. The group will move forward with June campaign with NH Gives.
2. F.O.I.L. met March 11, 2026. The group is working to comply with 501(c)(3) per the State to qualify as an active NH charitable organization. In the meantime, there is a call about a change from its current approach to a more inclusive model. More to come.
